Accessibility Statement

Capitan Ltd. (“Capitan Ltd.”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to making its website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-off project, and we work to improve it continuously.

1.  Scope of This Statement

This statement applies to the Capitan Ltd. website at www.capitan.solutions, including the pages published under it.

It does not currently cover the Capitán platform at set.capitan.systems, which our customers use to build and operate their own solutions. The accessibility of the platform is being assessed separately, and this statement will be updated when that assessment is complete. If you need accessibility information about the platform in the meantime, please contact us using the details in Section 5.

2.  Conformance Status

We aim to conform to Israeli Standard IS 5568 (accessibility of internet content), which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA, as contemplated by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility) Regulations.

This website is partially conformant with IS 5568 / WCAG 2.0 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that while most of the website meets the standard, some parts do not yet fully conform. The limitations we are aware of are set out in Section 4, so that you know what to expect before you encounter them.

3.  Accessibility Features of This Website

The following are in place across the website:

  • A “skip to content” link, so that keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation and reach the main content directly.
  • Standard landmark regions for navigation, main content and footer, so that assistive technologies can move through the page structure.
  • The language of each page is declared in the markup, so that screen readers pronounce content correctly.
  • Text alternatives on images.
  • Form fields with associated labels, so that the purpose of each field is announced by assistive technology.
  • An accessibility toolbar, reachable from every page, offering larger and smaller text, high contrast, negative contrast, grayscale, a light background, underlined links, a more readable font, and a control to reset all of these.

4.  Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, the following limitations remain. We list them openly rather than leave you to discover them:

  • Heading structure: on some pages the heading levels are not applied in a strictly sequential order, which can make navigating by headings less predictable for screen-reader users. We are correcting this.
  • Third-party components: our contact forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, and some pages embed content provided by third parties. These components are not under our control and may not be fully accessible. If reCAPTCHA prevents you from contacting us, please use the telephone number or email address in Section 5 instead – we will always accept your request by those routes.
  • Documents: documents offered for download may not be fully accessible. We will provide the information in an accessible format on request.
  • The Capitán platform: as noted in Section 1, set.capitan.systems is outside the scope of this statement.

6.  If You Are Not Satisfied

If we do not resolve your accessibility request to your satisfaction, you may approach the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Israeli Ministry of Justice, which supervises compliance with accessibility obligations in Israel.
