Cookie Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Capitan Ltd. (“Capitan Ltd.”, “we”, “our” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our websites (the “Sites”) and in the Capitán platform (the “Platform”, and together with the Sites – the “Services”).
This Cookie Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Services. Any capitalized but undefined term in this Cookie Policy shall have the meaning given to it in those documents.
1. What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Similar technologies – including pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits – perform comparable functions, and references to “cookies” in this Cookie Policy include those technologies.
Cookies may be set by us (“first-party cookies”) or by a third party whose service we use on our Services (“third-party cookies”). They may last only for the duration of your browsing session (“session cookies”) or remain on your device until they expire or you delete them (“persistent cookies”).
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary cookies: These are required for the Services to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies that maintain your session and keep you logged in to the Platform, cookies that support security and load balancing, and the cookie that records your cookie consent preferences so that we do not have to ask you on every page. Without these cookies, services you have asked for cannot be provided.
Functional cookies: These enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your language or display preferences. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not function properly.
Analytics and performance cookies: These help us understand how visitors interact with our Services – for example which pages are visited most often, how visitors move around the Sites, and whether they encounter errors. We use this information to improve how our Services work. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and used for statistical purposes.
Advertising and marketing cookies: These may be set through our Services by us or by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content on other sites. They do not directly store personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and device.
3. Cookies Currently Used on Our Sites
The specific cookies set on your device depend on which parts of our Services you use and on the consent choices you have made. As at the date of this Cookie Policy, the following are used on our Sites:
- CookieYes – our consent management platform. It sets a strictly necessary cookie that records the cookie categories you have consented to, so that your choices are respected across pages and visits.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) – analytics cookies that help us understand how our Sites are used. These are set only where you have consented to analytics cookies. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Cloudflare – performance, security and analytics technologies provided by Cloudflare, Inc., used to deliver our Sites reliably, to protect them against malicious traffic, and to measure aggregate site performance.
- WordPress – first-party cookies used by the software that runs our Sites, for session management and, if you are a logged-in administrator, for authentication.
This list may change as we add or remove services. We review it periodically and update this Cookie Policy accordingly.
4. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
Our consent banner: When you first visit our Sites, you are presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookie categories. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings control available on our Sites.
Your browser: Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether to accept them and how to remove them. You may set most browsers to notify you when you receive a cookie, or to block or delete cookies altogether. Please note that if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, parts of our Services may not work correctly. Guidance is available in the help pages of your browser.
Do Not Track: We do not currently change our practices in response to a “Do Not Track” signal in the HTTP header from a browser or mobile application.
5. Cookies and Personal Data
Some information collected through cookies – such as an IP address or a unique device identifier – may constitute personal data under applicable law. Where that is the case, we process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which describes the legal bases on which we rely, how long we retain data, with whom we share it, and the rights available to you.
Where applicable law requires your consent for the use of non-essential cookies, we place those cookies only after you have given consent through our consent banner, and you may withdraw that consent at any time as described in Section 4 above.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The amended version will be effective as of the date it is published on our Sites. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
